Find care
Find a clinician
Described, never rated — no stars, no reviews, and a person checked every listing.
Start from what is true today: every fact on a listing says who told us and when, and nobody here checked what a clinician says about themselves.
How this list works
- A person here checked every listing before it appeared. Each listing’s own page says what that check covered, and what it did not.
- What a clinician says about themselves — where they are licensed, whether they see patients remotely, what they see — is shown as theirs. Nothing here checks it against a state registry.
- What a practice told us — taking new patients, hours, prices — carries the day it told us. When that was months ago, “taking new patients” is shown as not known, not as current, and “New patients” leaves it out.
- The search matches the name, the practice, the town, and what the clinician says about themselves. A number beside a choice is what you would get if you changed it, with everything else you chose still applied — never a count of the whole register.
- Order is alphabetical and nothing else is ever consulted — paying us changes no listing’s place in this list. Ordering by distance would need a way to turn a place you type into a point on a map, which this directory does not have.
- A clinician must generally be licensed in the state where you are, not where their practice is — which is what makes remote care with an out-of-state specialist harder than it looks.
Where to start
- I was bitten today · 0 taking new patients. Listings that told us recently that they are taking new patients. One that said so months ago is not here — we no longer show that as current.
- I was just diagnosed · 0 name it as a focus. Listings that name Lyme, ticks or coinfections as what they see. They say that about themselves; nobody checked it, and none of them is ranked.
- They do not believe me · 0 take second opinions. Listings whose own description says they take second opinions. What a second opinion costs and how long it waits is on each listing.
- Far from a city · not yet a filter: needs a place to measure from. The kit narrows to video visits or anything within a hundred miles of a place you type. Half of that is the remote filter, which works. The other half needs a gazetteer — something that turns “Troy” or a ZIP into a point — and this tree holds none, so a distance from a town you typed would be a number nobody can stand behind.
- Cost comes first · 0 publish a price. A sliding scale, Medicaid, or a first-visit price the practice has published. Where no price is published the listing says so rather than leaving it blank.
Not yet a filter
- Kind of practice · Nothing here records whether a listing is a hospital clinic, a solo practice or a veterinary surgery. What each one treats is a sentence the practice wrote, so narrowing by it would sort by phrasing rather than by kind.
- Near a town or ZIP · Listings carry a point on a map, but turning a town name or a ZIP you type into a point needs a gazetteer this directory does not have — so a distance from where you typed would be a number nobody could stand behind.
Listings here say they are licensed in CT, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT. Every other state is in the list because you may still ask the question — the answer will be that we have nobody.

What changed in this register
A directory without a changelog reads as a snapshot. Every addition, re-check and withdrawal is listed here with its date, drawn from the same append-only trail the listings above are admitted by.

Why an entry was withdrawn is not published here, and a listing that was never admitted is not named at all. Both live in the trail for an auditor. A reason published on somebody’s behalf is a claim about their professional standing that we are not in a position to make.
A check means a person read one named document and recorded which. Every listing says which, and what that covered. Every filter reads a real column; where we hold nothing, the listing says so.
- Whether they are any good. Nobody here is rated and nobody will be.
- Whether they will take you. A practice can tell us, and the listing shows the date they told us — but nobody rings round to confirm it, and past a certain age we stop showing it as current rather than guessing.
- What the visit will actually cost after labs and billing.
- How they behaved on a bad day. That is what friends and support groups are for.
Primary care, urgent care and veterinary practices that completed an ILADS onboarding module — a short course and a one-page scope agreement naming what the practice will handle and which Lyme-literate clinician it defers to when a course sits outside that. The signed text would be shown verbatim on the listing.
designedDesigned for. The onboarding it would need does not exist, nothing here records the agreement, and no listing carries the mark.
2 of the 16 listings here are unclaimed — compiled from the state licence registry because people kept searching for them. Claiming is what lets a practice fill in what its listing currently says is unknown. Nobody can review you here, and nothing about claiming moves a listing up the page: the order is alphabetical.
What claiming would involveThe page is a preview: it describes the three routes that would verify a claim and submits nothing, because no submission surface exists yet.
The directory is free to search and needs no account. Remote care options covers what is and is not possible across state lines.
